New Appointments | THE BOARD OF GOVENORS
The Board of Governors is the Ontario College of Trades’ governing body. The board manages and administers the affairs of the College.
Composition of the Board of Governors
The board is comprised of twenty-one (21) members appointed by the College of Trades Appointments Council in accordance with the following:
1. Four (4) members selected from each of the construction, motive power, industrial and service sectors. Two of the members for each of the sectors are selected as employee representatives and two are selected as employer representatives.
2. Four (4) members selected as representing the public. These individuals are not members of the College or have an affiliation with a member of the College or with a compulsory trade or a voluntary trade or an employer of individuals in a compulsory trade or a voluntary trade that, in the opinion of the Appointments Council, may bias their decisions.
3. One (1) member selected as representing the colleges of applied arts and technology established under the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002.
